Montmorency Primary school would like to acknowledge the Wurundjeri people of the Greater Kulin Nation as the traditional owners of the unceded lands, skies, and waterways on which we come together to learn and teach. We acknowledge that they have been custodians of this land for millennia, and on this country, have performed ancient ceremonies of celebration, initiation, and renewal. As school students, teachers and families come together, we express our gratitude in the sharing of this land, but also our sorrow for the personal, spiritual, and cultural costs of that sharing. We hope that we may walk forward together in harmony and in the spirit of healing.
