Parents & Friends

May 2013: Dear Parents...Please collect your Woolworth's Learn and Learn shopping points stickers and bring your completed forms to the box in the MPS foyer.

An enormous thank you to all the parents and friends who assist us during the year.  We would like to thank those people who generously volunteer their time to help with healthy food lunch days, baked cakes and biscuits, helped out at the farmers markets sausage sizzles, helped with lasagna and pasta days, icy pole days, wheel-a-thon, footy day, and those who contributed to the silver cent drive (and helped count it), collected shopping vouchers and supported the Community Fair in 1012

The past two years, Parents and Friends has been run as a friendly informal group, with many parents contributing.  In 2013, we invite anyone who would like to become involved to assist with the organisation of school events and fundraising.

We are extremely lucky at Monty Primary to have a huge pool of parents, friends and other family members who are very involved in the school.  This is certain to continue...  If you would like to assist or have new ideas or suggestions, please contact the school office.

All the best for a fantastic 2013,
Reece and Kay, Parents and Friends

Pancake Day, March 2013

A big thank you to Emy for your yummy pancake recipe and 24/7 help, to our wonderful cooks and kitchen hands, Zena, Suzi, Leisa, Sylvia, Victoria, May, Kiko, Ingrid, Natalie, Sotiria and Emily who all came along and helped out!

How you can get involved?  Your child can get the best result if we work with you so that school and home are in harmony. Some of the things we do to encourage this are:
  • A transition program for Preps
  • Parents helping out around the school, such as in the garden and working bees
  • Student, teacher and parent evenings and open days
  • Parents can help out in vital roles within the school, such as the school council, uniform management, and school publications. Please ask our School Council President or the Parents & Friends committee if you'd like to help.
Shopping Vouchers/Pauls Milk Carton Lids, 2013

Our school will be registering for Woolworths "Earn and Learn", Coles "Sports for Schools" and Pauls Milk Carton Lids programs again this year. We will let parents know when it's time to bring collections to the school office.
